Contest Guidelines

Terms for Download: You are welcome to download and convert the designs to any other embroidery machine format. You can also sell any garment that you put the designs on however, the designs themselves and the rights remain with the individual and MAY NOT be transferred or sold to another party. If you have a friend that would like one of these files, please direct them to this web site-do not send the designs to them.

Deadline:	All entries have to be received no later than July 10th (This gives you some time to make your project, celebrate then take those pictures!)

Award Date:	Winners will be announced no later than July 31st.

Theme:	Your entry can have a 4th of July theme or.....for our friends that don't celebrate the 4th, a "Celebration" theme. To help with what constitutes a "Celebration" theme - we define "Celebration" as anything that you as an entrant feel is cause for Celebration. That might mean new arrivals, jobs, weddings, anniversaries - anything. The cause for "Celebration" is your's to define.

Categories:	1) A Wearable Arts category 2) A Non-Wearable Arts category

Contest Rules:	Our goal here is to keep the rules as simple as possible so that we can all have fun. Here goes...
	1) This contest will be for HATS members only
	2) You can have several entries however, you are only eligible to win one prize per category.
	3) By entering the contest, you agree that your project can be posted on the HATS web page and/or the Design Contributor's web page. This does not preclude you from posting your entry on your own web page, just allows us to share your ideas with others that visit.

Embroidery:	If you choose to embroider, the embroidery design must be selected from the free downloads that have been contributed from our Designers for the purpose of this contest or - you can pick any design as long as it is a design offered by one of our Design Contributors. In other words, embroidered entries don't have to use the specific designs that were donated for the contest, but could choose any design (whether it was a freebie or a purchased design) as long as it is one of our Design Sponsor's designs. How is that for a mouth full? The Design Contributor list currently includes Embroidery by Design, The Embroidery Library, K.O. Design, Sew Teri-fic Designs and Patriotic Patchwork.

To enter:	Send a picture of your entry via e-mail or snail mail. Pictures should include the front and back of the entry (if applicable).
