When Patty Olsen mentioned that she had tried Kathy MacMannis' Rag Wool Embroidery technique, I couldn't wait to see it. Thanks to Patty for sending pictures, I can't wait to get Kathy's book myself and try it out. Thanks Patty for sharing!

I just finished a vest with designs from Kathy MacMannis' rag wool embroidery. It is a khaki vest and I put crows and sunflowers on it. It sews out real fast and is fun to do. The idea of buying fabric for $17.00 a yard and cutting it into small pieces was kind of disconcerting but I only bought an 8th of a yard of each color and it was plenty (no time for the thrift store routine). It's a real casual effect with good texture appeal. I'm ready for more designs so---if you're out there Kathy, thanks, and how about a bear and a moose.
