Programmable Card Problem
Using your Trashcan.exe from the HV Dos Customizing
Carla Clements and Art Lindsley
The following was submitted by Carla
Clements and Art Lindsley. On the HATS
list, Carla mentioned that she had a problem with her programmable card going
bad. Art Lindsley, also one of our HATS members posted a reply to her plea
for help. In this situation, Art uses the "Trashcan" program. With
the permission of both Art and Carla, below you will find the dialog between
the two of them. Hopefully, you won't find yourself in this situation but
if you do, and if you have HV's DOS version of Customizing, we hope that this
will bring your little pal back to life. Thanks Art, Thanks Carla!
| Carla: | Hi Art, this is Carla, the one who started this thread about the w/r > card going bad. |
| Art: | So you are the one who got me into so much trouble. My fingertips are rebelling with so many callouses (grin). |
| Carla: | I was wondering if you could clarify which [trashcan program] you are talking about. I do have the old DOS version of customizing and digitizing. Is trashcan a file in this, or is trashcan a separate program? I went to Viking store last night and the lady working said she did not know of a program that fixed the cards. Is she ignorant, or just wanted to sell me a new card? |
| Art: |
Perhaps both Carla. It seems as though we only learned about it in the early days here on the HATS list. Some of the original list members from yet another list told us about it. This is what I did to finally keep the trashcan from oblivion.
