Instruction "Break-the-Limits"

order of stitching:   1=a   2=b  3=c  etc.

To stitch these designs accurately, it is important to  use a
self-adhesive (sticky) stabilizer  such as Solvy Sticky or
Filmoplast-Stick by Neschen.  This type of stabilizer is necessary in
order to position your fabric properly in the hoop.

Step 1.  Prepare your Template.
Please print the BMP file enclosed with the help of a good graphics
program.  Windows Paint is not suitable, because it is not able to print
in actual size.  Your printout must be the actual size of the design. A
ruler in centimeters is provided at the bottom of the template to help
you check the  size.
When your Template is printed out correctly, make small holes (with a
pin or needle) at the center point (M) of each design section (a, b, c,
etc.), and at the starting stitch (S).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 2.  Hoop the adhesive stabilizer by itself.  (You will place your
fabric on top later). Remove  the  protective paper on the stabilizer
carefully (start it with a pin or small scissors, taking care not to
tear the stabilizer underneath).  Choose the design section you will be
stitching first,  ending with "a". Start your machine.  It will
automatically go to the center of the design.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 3.  Position the template on your fabric or garment where you want
to stitch the design, then mark the Center Points, (M), and the First
Stitches (S), using the holes you made in the template earlier.

Step 4.  Now adhere the fabric to the sticky stabilizer so that the
Center Point of the first design section is exactly under the needle
where your machine centers to begin stitching.

(Hoop your stabilizer, then choose your design, needle automatically
finds the center, and then you adhere the fabric).

Repeat step 4 for the remaining sections of the design. (see hint below
for reusing your hooped sticky stabilizer).

If your machine is able to travel to the starting point of the new section, then do the following:
After you have repositioned your fabric for the second section, touch the button indicated in your manual for that purpose.  The needle will travel to the starting point of the new section.  If the needle point
and the mark (S) you made don't coincide, please correct the positioning
of your fabric until they match, otherwise your design sections won't
fit together properly. That is not necessary, but leaves you more secure about the right position. So please don't worry if your machine is not able to do that.

Hint:  Instead of hooping new adhesive stabilizer for each design
section, simply patch the hole made in the stabilizer by the previous
embroidery with a small piece of  the adhesive stabilizer, removing the
paper before stitching.
This will save time hooping, reduce waste and save money, as adhesive
stabilizer is more expensive than regular stabilizer.

Before trying this technique on your good fabric or garment, we
recommend doing a sample on scrap fabric for practice.
